After a successful contest a couple of weeks ago (the first for the season in the nation), Chapter 12 is progressing with plans for the next – Ben Lowell Aerial Confrontation!
Ben Lowell will take place at Sterling Municipal Airport (KSTK) on August 29-30 (practice day August 28).
We already have over 20 pilots pre-registered across all 5 powered categories, so this promises to be a fun event! Rather than go into the details around Covid-avoidance measures and logistics (that information will follow in targeted emails to those registered participants), I would just like to ask people interested in joining us to do 2 things ASAP please:
- Please pre-register at https://www.iac.org/contest/2020-08-29-ben-lowell-aerial-confrontation. Registration will close on Saturday August 22.
- For those flying free sequences, please send me your signed free in PDF format by August 22.
We are requesting these so we can pre-print all paperwork well before the contest, and minimize the need for people gathering around clipboards. Please understand that we will not be able to add you to the contest unless we receive your pre-registration (and signed free, if applicable) by August 22. Pre-registration does not obligate you to participate – you can cancel later if you need to.
Finally, for those of you who have not had the chance to join us in Sterling, I feel compelled to include picture of our very pilot-friendly box. Section lines and crop circles all come together with one purpose – to help you stay in the box 😊
