A Message from the President

Dear Chapter 24,

As your new president I feel that it is important to keep our group informed on what is going on in Chapter 24…so here goes.

First, we would like to congratulate our members, Mike Galloway, Julia and Tony Wood for their awards.  Mike “Spanky” Galloway won the Robert L Heuer Award for judging excellence.  This award is given to the outstanding aerobatic judge each year.  Julia and Tony Wood won the Frank Price Cup for the person(s) who have contributed the most to the sport of aerobatics the previous year.  Congratulations to you all.

Your Board of Directors met in August with several important items discussed.

Tony Wood has agreed to be the Contest Director for our contest in 2019.  We are looking at different sites and Breckenridge seems to be the leading location.

We plan to visit the folks in Breckenridge sometime soon.

We plan to have our Chapter 24 meeting for our members on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at noon at my house at 3517 Drexel Dr.  Dallas, Tx. 75205.

We will be discussing other meeting sites at this meeting.

Spouses, friends and children are invited.  We will handle the children.

Other subjects to be discussed are memberships, our current By-Laws, judges school, our contest, the Texas Championships, the National Championships, a possible new National Championship site, fly days, social events and a look at our new trailer and chairs.  We really need you at this meeting because we need your input on these subjects.
