Thanks from the Bonham Festival of Flight!!

Thank you to all of our Chapter 24 members who helped with our 5th annual Bonham Festival of Flight!  Perfect weather made for a fantastic day. Thanks to Chapter members Carl Best, Steve Afeman, Curt Richmond, Dave Honaker, & Chet Kuhn for your fine aerial displays!  Other performers included the Blue Skies Parachute Team, Shetterly Squadron, Falcon Flight, & Dave Leedom.  (Poor Russell  Husbands unexpectedly got caught out on a work trip.) Chapter member Paul Richmond brought his motorcycle for an epic race with his dad as well!

Thanks also to BJ & Barb Boyle for helping on the ramp and with Young Eagles.  I believe we are the only IAC chapter that holds Young Eagles rallies. With Kevin Lacey, Pat Kyer, Ron Barson, the Shetterlys, and other volunteers, we flew 106 kids!

Everyone enjoyed the Hangar Life and Texas Air Fleet tents, and the Richmonds very graciously donated an event tent they made just  for the WAI North Texas Chapter.  Thank you!! 

Estimates on attendance were in the 5,000 range. Not bad for our little airshow. Thanks again to everyone who helped make it happen!
